About Linda Mose Meadows

Bio

Linda Mose Meadows is a fiber artist, storyteller, and lifelong learner whose expressive art quilts celebrate life, family, heritage, and spirituality. Working with vibrant fabrics, acrylic paint, yarn, natural elements, photographs, beads, and cowrie shells, she creates powerful mixed-media pieces inspired by the African Diaspora and ancestral storytelling. A member of the Angel Quilters of Saint Michael Episcopal Church and the African American Quilters of Baltimore, and a cohort member of the Black Arts Today Foundation Linda values community, creativity, and cultural connection. Beyond her art, Linda is a published devotional author, inspirational blogger, poet, public speaker, and retired academic administrator. Originally from Buffalo, NY, she earned a BA from Howard University and an MS from SUNY Buffalo Through every quilt, Linda shares her passion for beauty, truth, and the transformative power of art.

In my artful creations, fabric becomes archives, portraits become testimonies, and quilting becomes a vessel for ancestral memory. These pieces often honor on recorded labor, tenderness, and leadership of folks whose love sustained others across generations. These aren’t forms speak to lineage as inheritance, hospitality as resistance and care as a transformative force honoring those that came before us, celebrating the resilience that lives in everyday acts of devotion, and imagining a world will be becoming. It’s no longer contested but assured.
